Does Facebook customer service exist? Yes, and here's how to get in touch
We hate to break the news to you: Facebook does not staff a team of customer service representatives working the phone lines to help you with a likely niche and nuanced problem. Not being able to reach another human for help can be really frustrating, but Facebook does have an extensive Help Center page with dozens of help articles.
Still, the Facebook support apparatus can be difficult to navigate.
Here is how to find the support you need using Facebook's Help Center. If the Help Center doesn’t have the answer to your questions, there are a couple of ways we suggest to get through to Facebook.
How to access Facebook Customer Service
Log into your Facebook profile on desktop.
Click the dropdown top in the upper-right corner
Select “Help & Support” from the drop-down menu
The menu will give you three options.
The first is “Help Center.”
Clicking this option will direct you to Facebook’s Help Center page, which is a searchable nexus of help articles.
The second option you will see is “Support Inbox.” Here, you will find updates from Facebook on profiles or posts you’ve reported.
The third option is “Report a Problem.”
Here, you will find a couple of forms that allow you to submit feedback to Facebook and report any technical glitches or broken features.
The forms allow you to attach and submit screenshots and screen recordings of the error.

How to use the Facebook Help Center
The Help Center will be your best resource. Here are some tips on navigating it.
Use the search bar on the main page to type in what you need help with it. Your search will prompt Facebook’s relevant help articles.
In this case, we search for help changing our profile password.
Select the relevant help article.
The Help Center organizes its help articles into four different sections, which you will find in the left side column on the Help Center's home page.
In the "Using Facebook" section you will find help with your Facebook profile page, messaging and Facebook groups.
The "Managing Account" section offers support with your Facebook login and deactivating or deleting your account.
You can access help keeping your Facebook account secure in the "Privacy, Safety and Security" section.
The final "Policies and Reporting" section helps you report Facebook guidelines violations. You can also find help handling a deceased person's account in this section.
You can also select from the six popular topic pages under the Help Center search bar
How to access Facebook support for Businesses
If you're looking for business support, Facebook also maintains a Business Help Center page .
How to get help if you're logged out
The Help Center is accessible even if you're logged out. If you need help logging into your account, you can get help here.
Other ways to reach Facebook Support
If the Help Center proves unhelpful, you can try your luck at reaching Facebook through other means. But keep in mind that these are long shots, and you might be redirected to Help Center page anyway.
You can try tweeting or direct messaging the various Facebook Twitter accounts.
The Meta (Facebook’s freshly renamed parent company) Twitter account, the Facebook app Twitter account and the Facebook Messenger Twitter account are just a few Twitter accounts Facebook runs.
Some users have had luck getting a reply, though they were often redirected to the Help Center.
We understand your concern and want to help, Noe. First, make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded on your device. If you do and you're still having trouble using Messenger, please report the problem to us by following these steps: https://t.co/5RtkuDmrQb . — Messenger (@messenger) February 10, 2022
You can also try emailing the general Facebook support email: [email protected]. Though users on Reddit have reported scant success in hearing back.
Facebook support number
Facebook operates two phone numbers with Palo Alto, California, area codes: 650-543-4800 and 650-308-7300. But dialing these numbers will prompt a pre-recorded message directing you to Facebook's online support.
"Unfortunately, we do not offer phone support at this time," the prerecorded message said when USA TODAY dialed the number. "Answers to most user inquiries can be found at the Help Center."

How to contact Facebook
So you need to contact Facebook. You got locked out of your account for some reason, or you want to know how to better protect your privacy. Maybe you just need help managing a Facebook page for your business. Whatever the reason, it can surely be solved by calling a customer service hotline or at the very least, chatting with a bot right? Not so much.
Turns out, Facebook doesn't really "do" customer service. Apparently putting their users in touch with a human being is too costly.
In lieu of a phone number or contact form, there's the Facebook Help Center . Presumably, all the answers to your questions can be found in the Help Center's FAQ-style articles, but of course that's not always the case. There are ways of getting in touch with someone at Facebook, but even in those situations, it's in a roundabout way, and it's only if Facebook deems it important enough.
But don't worry. Your search for help isn't totally hopeless. There are ways of finding the solution you need, and whether it's through the Help Center or some other means, this article has got you covered.
How to access help and resources
You can access the form by clicking on the upside down triangle icon in the top righthand corner of the Facebook window. In the dropdown, click on "Help & Support." From there you will see three options: "Help Center," "Support Inbox," and "Report a Problem." If you have submitted a report and Facebook needs to respond to you, you'll be messaged in the "Support Inbox." For any of the issues listed in the section below, click "Help Center."
The Help Center
If you're new to facebook.
Click on the "Using Facebook" section if you're new to Facebook and need help navigating its features and tools like adding friends, messaging, publishing photos/posts, managing pages, creating an event, etc.
If you need help troubleshooting something
Click on "Managing Your Account" to access information about, well, managing a Facebook account, which means things like resetting or changing your password, recovering your account information, finding out if your account has been disabled, editing your profile, changing your notification and advertising preferences, or deactivating or deleting your account.
If you want to protect yourself (and others)
Click on "Privacy, Safety and Security" to learn about how your information is shared and to find out how to adjust your privacy settings. There's also information about protocols and resources for protecting yourself and others from content posted on Facebook. This is also where to read about spam and scams.
If you need to ring the alarm
Click on "Policies and Reporting" to learn about Facebook's community standards, report something that you think has violated those standards, report a privacy or intellectual property violation, what to do if you've been hacked, and how to secure your account.
Report a problem
To alert Facebook about a bug or something that has broken, you can fill out a form. Go to the dropdown mentioned in the introduction, and then click "Report a Problem." From there, you will be asked to choose to either give feedback ("Help us improve the new Facebook") or let Facebook know about an issue you encountered ("Something went wrong.")
When you click the latter, a form will pop up, which you can then fill out with details of the issue and provide a screenshot if need-be.
If you still need help
Ever heard the expression "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Well, start squeaking on social media. Tagging Facebook in a tweet about your issue, might get noticed.
It's also worth mentioning that Facebook also has its own community forum where you can get crowdsourced information from Facebook users, but it will be shutting down on September 24, 2021.
If nothing else works, you might consider talking to the professionals. Thanks to a very helpful Quora post , we've learned that JustAnswer offers support for resolving Facebook issues. It's a paid service, but there is a 1-dollar trial membership, and that might be enough to get the issue resolved.

Check if facebook is really down, is it just you time to troubleshoot, try facebook on another device, restart, update, and reinstall, consider rebooting network equipment, kill any firewalls or similar services, try switching your dns server, key takeaways.
- Check if Facebook is down for everyone or troubleshoot if it's only you having the problem. You can use online tools or social media to check for outages.
- Try Facebook on another device and use different methods (app vs web) to isolate the problem to your device or internet connection.
- Restart your device, update the app, or reinstall it. Restart network equipment or try a different DNS server if the problem persists.
Most of us take it for granted that commonly-used services like Facebook will always be there. The fact is that they're susceptible to the same sort of problems that bring down smaller websites. Here are some tips to help you figure out what's going on.
You can check whether a website is down by using a service like Down for Everyone or Just Me , Down.com , IsItDownOrJustMe , and IsItDownRightNow . You might want to try a few of them just to make sure your results are consistent, as Down.com points out: "It's perfectly possible we get one set of results, and another tool in another location gets a completely different result."
You can also search the web (or, ironically, Twitter ) for news. If Facebook is having a major outage that is affecting a large number of users, someone will be talking about it somewhere.
If Facebook is indeed down, there's not a lot you can do about it. You'll need to wait until the service is back before you can properly make use of it. The outage may affect other Facebook services, too, like Messenger, Instagram, and even WhatsApp. Try again later.
If the tools in the previous tip report that Facebook is alive, then the issue is likely on your end. However, localized outages are possible. These services could be located in a different corner of the world, while an outage is limited to your region only. Social media like Twitter or Reddit may help confirm this.
Another possibility is a problem with your internet service provider (ISP) . Many ISPs have a service status tool that reports any problems the network may be having, including outages. It's more likely that your service would be disabled entirely, but it's worth checking.
Lastly, while rare, governments can ban access to websites sporadically. If you're in a location that's experiencing political instability then it's something you may want to consider. In that situation, you do have options for bypassing internet censorship and filtering .
To isolate the problem to a particular device (like your computer), try accessing Facebook from another device, like your smartphone. Test the app on the same connection (e.g., your home wireless network) first, then test it on the cellular network. If nothing works, then it's likely the problem is on Facebook's end.
But if you get differing results, you can start to isolate the problem. If Facebook works on your smartphone over the same wireless connection, the issue could be due to a software problem on your computer. If the service only works while connected to the cellular network, your home internet connection may be acting up instead.
You should also try accessing the service using different methods, like using the web version instead of the mobile app (and vice versa). You can use your results to isolate the problem further.
One of the easiest ways of solving a problem is to turn your device off and then on again. This is true for computers and smartphones, so it's a good first step. Once you've booted back up, try Facebook again as you would normally.
If you're using an app to access the service, check for updates using the App Store (for Apple devices) or Google Play (for Android devices). Install any pending updates and try again.
Sometimes, mobile apps stop working and must be reinstalled. This is true for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, so delete the app as you normally would, then download it again from the relevant app store. You'll likely need to log in again, but if the issue is software-based and only affects the mobile app, this should solve it.
If Facebook works on your smartphone over a cellular connection but not over wireless and you've already tried everything else, restarting your network equipment can't hurt. Turn off your router, modem, and any other network hardware you're using, wait at least 10 seconds, then turn them back on and try again.
While the odds of solving the problem using this method are low, it's probably worth a shot since it's only a minor inconvenience (and when was the last time you restarted your router anyway?).
If the problem is limited to a computer or smartphone that's running a firewall or other permissions-based access software, try temporarily disabling it. Maybe you use an app to help focus your attention by blocking access to distracting websites . Make sure it's not enabled right now.
Check what apps are running on Windows ( using Task Manager ) or macOS ( using Activity Monitor ) and kill any you think might be interfering with your web browsing.
The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to link IP addresses with URLs like howtogeek.com. Think of it as an address book of sorts. By default, your device will use your ISP's own DNS server, which, in this instance, may be causing your problem. You can change your DNS server to a third-party one to see if things improve (for best results, flush your DNS by restarting your device).
In truth, there are many reasons to use a third-party DNS server with speed being one of the big ones. Providers like Google ( 8.8.8.8 ) and CloudFlare ( 1.1.1.1 ) generally offer faster performance than your ISP, and you can even circumvent some (poorly implemented) geo-restrictions this way too.

Getting AI Past The Finish Line, Responsibly And Ethically

AI needs governance
There has been no end to talk of embracing artificial intelligence — or any other new technology for that matter — before one’s competitors take hold of it. The consequences, it is always said, are dire, with slow-adopting companies becoming dinosaurs ready to suffer the effects of an asteroid hit. But business leaders are apparently not buying into this notion — governance, security, and corporate culture need to be factored into the equation before AI becomes a significant part of operations and decision-making.
If anything, nearly all business leaders (98%) say they are “willing to forgo being the first to use AI” if that ensures they deliver it safely and securely, the survey of 205 executives, published in MIT Technology Review and underwritten by Boomi, shows.
AI ambitions are substantial, but few have scaled beyond pilots, the survey showed. Fully 95% of companies surveyed are already using AI and 99% expect to in the future. But few organizations have graduated beyond pilot projects, the survey finds. The great majority, 76%, have only deployed AI in one to three use cases.
Welcome to the trailing edge of AI. What will bring organizations to get AI past the finish line — which is the point in which it is in full production, and delivering the returns promised?
Industry leaders agree that it’s time to look past the hype and hopes of AI and focus on solid results. “It's understandable to be skeptical of headlines claiming that every new tech breakthrough will change everything,” said Raj Sharma , global managing partner for growth and innovation at EY.
Sharma, for one, advises caution, but is optimistic about what AI can ultimately deliver. "Generative AI and AI-driven large language models appear poised to fulfill this promise. With last year being considered the year of AI hype, currently, we’re witnessing 2024 as the year of AI reality. Businesses are exploring large-scale transformation while regulators focus on implementing new AI codes and regulations.”
Apple iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro Release Date Proposed In New Report
What time is the 2024 olympics closing ceremony in paris, ukraine is determined to flatten khalino air base, situated just 50 miles from the front line of ukraine’s surprise invasion of russia.
To that end, governance, security and privacy are the biggest brake on the speed of AI deployment, cited by 45% of respondents to the MIT-Boomi survey.
“The fake-it-until-you-make-it approach ceases to be a viable strategy when it comes to AI,” Mrinal Manohar , CEO of Casper Labs, pointed out. “The primary difficulty is determining how to adopt the appropriate governance frameworks for high-risk applications while still driving responsible AI innovation and adoption.”
“People drive faster when they have seatbelts on,” Manohar added. Governance and risk management can help unleash AI’s full potential and get it across the finish line. However, the technology has yet to deliver on its potential, “largely due to a lack of governance and unified standards. Strong AI governance will drive faster innovation and more reliable real-world deployment, setting AI up for success.”
Corporate culture is a significant factor with AI governance and risk management. “While at this point many organizations have adopted an internal policy on the use of AI tools, such policies are only helpful if they are actually implemented and followed throughout an organization, not stashed away in a drawer or on a rarely-visited intranet site,” said Anna Westfelt , partner and head of the data privacy practice at law firm Gunderson Dettmer.
“Build a culture of accountability and compliance when it comes to privacy and security, and train employees to apply caution when using AI tools,” Westfelt urged. This includes “consistent monitoring by the organization’s IT team of AI, together with regular training to make sure employees are aware of the boundaries around the use of AI tools.”
At this point, “many organizations have been able to obtain more secure and restricted walled-off commercial versions of popular and publicly available GenAI tools,” Westfelt continued. “Employees should be discouraged from using any tool that is not vetted by the organization.” An inventory of tools used and training provided should also be tracked, she said.
Ultimately, the goal of AI governance and risk management is the responsible and ethical use of the technology as it develops within organizations. “The way forward is to integrate proactive risk management throughout every stage of the AI transformation,” Sharma said. “This can help to build confidence, foster agility, and navigate disruption effectively.”
