वीरता व्यक्ति का आंतरिक गुण है जो विपरीत हालातों के बीच अमुक लोगों में ही दीखता हैं. हम में से कोई स्वयं को कायर नहीं समझता है इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि हम सभी सच्चे वीर और शौर्यपुरुष हैं.

सामान्य हालातों में स्वयं को बहादुर कहने वाले अक्सर लोग जरा सी तकलीफ में मुरझा जाते हैं या छिप जाते है जो उसके मूल चरित्र के दिक्दर्शन करवाता हैं.

वीरता के दर्शन भी मित्रता की तरह ही हैं क्योंकि हमेशा सबसे अच्छा मित्र कहने वाला हमारा कितना हितैषी है यह तभी पता चलता है जब हम किसी विपदा या कठिनाई में पड़े हो.

सेना, पुलिस में वीरता के लिए सम्मान एवं मेडल प्रदान किये जाते हैं. हालांकि वे पदक व्यक्ति की बहादुरी को ब्यान तो नहीं करते मगर समाज, सरकार व देश द्वारा उन्हें सम्मानित करने का यह रिवाज हैं.

सच्ची वीरता के दर्शन करने हो तो भारतीय सैनिक को ही देख लीजिए गर्मियों में 45 डिग्री का तापमान हो या शरीर को जमा देने वाली ठंड वो सदैव अपनी जिंदगी की फ़िक्र किये बगैर अपने कर्तव्यों को निभाने में लगा रहता हैं.

आज के दौर में वीरता के साक्ष्य न केवल हमारी सेना के जवान पेश करते है बल्कि  हमारे पुलिसकर्मी, आम नागरिक  खिलाड़ी भी अपनी क्षमताओं से ऊपर उठकर समाज के लिए योगदान करते हैं.

मात्र पदक को ही वीरता माना जाए तो पाकिस्तानी सेना के जनरल पर कपड़े के वजन से अधिक तमगे लटकते हैं. मगर वे किस शौर्य के प्रदर्शन का दिखावा हैं पाक फौज ने किस युद्ध में शौर्यगाथा रची जिसे वह इन पदकों के माध्यम से दिखाता हैं.

प्रत्येक भारतीय वीर पायलट अभिनंदन की गाथा से तो परिचित ही होगा, अपने वतन की वायु सीमा को बचाते हुए उनका विमान दुश्मन के हमले का शिकार हो जाता हैं वह पैराशूट की मदद से गलती से दुश्मन मुल्क में उतरते हैं.

यहाँ तक एक साधारण व्यक्ति की तरह वे अपने दायित्वों का निर्वहन करते हैं. मगर पाक लोगों रेजर्स और पुलिस के द्वारा पकड़ने से पूर्व और बाद में सुझबुझ और जिस अदम्य साहस का परिचय दिया वह प्रत्येक भारतीय सैनिक की पहचान है जिसे दुश्मन भली भांति परिचित हैं.

हरेक नागरिक में वीरता के गुण होने चाहिए ताकि विकट हालातों में वे अपने समाज व देश को संकट से बचाने में जो भी मान वीय योगदान हो सके वह करें.

वीरता तभी जगेगी जब उत्कृष्ट योगदान करने वाले वीरों को यथेचित सम्मान मिले यही सम्मान लोगों को भी शौर्य दिखाने के लिए प्रेरित करता हैं. क्योंकि वीरता का गुण उतना जन्मजात नहीं होता जो उन्हें वातावरण बनाता हैं.

एक शेर के बच्चें को जन्म से ही भेडियो के बीच छोड़ दिया जाए तो भले ही वह संसार का सबसे खतरनाक प्राणी हो वह व्यवहार में दुर्बल भेडिये की तरह की व्यवहार करेगा. इसलिए हमारे बच्चों को वह वातावरण मिलना चाहिए जिससे वे बहादुरी का प्रदर्शन कर सके.

देश की केंद्र सरकार द्वारा राष्ट्रीय वीरता पुरूस्कार के माध्यम से ऐसा ही प्रयास किया जाता हैं. बाल कल्याण परिषद द्वारा वर्ष 1957 में वीरता सम्मान की शुरुआत की गई थी.

जिन्हें 26 जनवरी की पूर्व संध्या पर पदक, प्रमाण पत्र एवं नकद पुरूस्कार उन बच्चों को दिया जाता है जिन्होंने विविध क्षेत्रों में कीर्तिमान खड़े किये है अथवा सामाजिक क्षेत्र में किसी साहसिक कार्य को अंजाम दिया हो.

अब तक देश में ९०० बच्चों को यह सम्मान दिया जा चूका हैं. हमारे बच्चों में वीरता का सद्गुण विकसित करने के लिए बचपन से ही उन्हें हमारे वीर पुरुषों की कहानियां सुनानी चाहिए.

2 अक्टूबर,1957 में पंडित नेहरु के समक्ष एक ऐसी एतिहासिक घटना घटित हुई जिससे प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर वीरता सम्मान शुरू किया गया.

नवरात्र के दिन थे दिल्ली के रामलीला मैदान में पंडित नेहरू, इंदिरा गांधी, जगजीवन राम जैसी हस्तियाँ विराजमान थी, अचानक उस शामियाने की आतिशबाजी में शोर्ट सर्किट हो गया तथा आग की लपटों में सभी घिर गये.

उस समय 14 वर्षीय बालक हरीश मेहरा स्वयंसेवक के रूप में सेवाएं दे रहे थे. स्काउड छात्र हरीश तुरंत बीस फिट ऊँचे लाइट के खम्भे पर चढ़े तथा अपनी ड्रेस में से चाक़ू निकालकर विद्युत् तार को काट दिया.

उनके इस साहसिक कार्य में दोनों हाथ पूरी तरह झुलस गये. मगर हरीश की इस जाबाजी ने एक बड़ा हादसा होने से बचा लिया था.

भारत सरकार का ‘वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट’ (Veer Gatha Project) : मुख्य बिंदु

भारत सरकार ने ‘आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव’ के एक भाग के रूप में “वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट” शुरू किया, जिसके तहत सरकार भारत की स्वतंत्रता के 75 वें  वर्ष को चिह्नित करने के लिए कई कार्यक्रम शुरू कर रही है ।

वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट क्या है? ( Veer Gatha Project)

• वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट भारत में स्कूली बच्चों को युद्ध नायकों और वीरों की कहानियों से अवगत कराकर उन्हें प्रेरित करने के लिए शुरू किया गया है।
• इस परियोजना के विजेताओं के रूप में 25 छात्रों का चयन किया गया है।
• इसके तहत छात्रों को वीरता पुरस्कार विजेताओं के आधार पर गतिविधियों और परियोजनाओं को करने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया।
• यह प्रोजेक्ट 21 अक्टूबर 2021 से 21 नवंबर 2021 तक पूरे भारत में आयोजित किया गया था।

किस मंत्रालय ने परियोजना का आयोजन किया?

वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट का आयोजन शिक्षा मंत्रालय, स्कूली शिक्षा और साक्षरता विभाग और केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (CBSE) द्वारा किया गया था।

इस प्रोजेक्ट  में कितने छात्रों ने भाग लिया?

वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट में देश भर के 4,788 स्कूलों के 8,03,900 से अधिक छात्रों ने भाग लिया। देश के वीरों के सम्मान में छात्रों ने अपने निबंध, चित्र, कविताएं और मल्टीमीडिया प्रस्तुतियां साझा कीं।

प्रोजेक्ट के विजेता

एक राष्ट्रीय समिति ने कई दौर के मूल्यांकन के बाद कुल 25 छात्रों का चयन किया, जिन्हें “सुपर 25” करार दिया गया और उन्हें विजेता घोषित किया गया।

विजेताओं को क्या मिलेगा?

सुपर 25 को 25 जनवरी, 2022 को नई दिल्ली पहुंचने के बाद सम्मानित किया जाएगा। वे रक्षा मंत्रालय के विशेष अतिथि के रूप में गणतंत्र दिवस परेड भी देखेंगे। इसके अलावा, उन्हें 10,000 रुपये का नकद पुरस्कार भी मिलेगा।

वीरगाथाकाल का समय और विशेषताएँ: आदिकाल की पृष्ठभूमि और परिस्थितियाँ

वीरगाथाकाल को आदिकाल या सिद्ध-सामंत काल भी कहा जाता है। इस काल का समय सं. 1000 से 1375 या 943 ई. से 1318 ई. माना गया है। और आज हम वीरगाथाकाल का समय, पृष्ठभूमि, परिस्थितियाँ और विशेषताओं के बारे में बात करने वाले हैं।

भारतीय इतिहास का यह युग राजनीतिक दृष्टि से गृह-कलह, पराजय एवं अव्यवस्था का काल था। ऐसी साम्प्रदायिक, धार्मिक, राजनीतिक एवं आर्थिक विषमता के युग में साहित्य-निर्माण का दायित्व विशेषतः चारणों, भाटों एवं पेशेवर कवियों पर आ पड़ा। राजाओं में वीरता का भाव जागृत करने के लिए एक ओर वीर-काव्यों की रचनाएँ हुईं तो दूसरी ओर शांति के समय में शृंगारपरक रचनाएँ।

वीरगाथा काल की पृष्ठभूमि

हिंदी साहित्य का जन्म ऐसे समय में हुआ था जब भारतवर्ष पर उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर से निरंतर मुसलमानों के आक्रमण हो रहे थे। राजा और राजाश्रित कवि छोटे-छोटे राजयों को ही राष्ट्र समझ बैठे थे। राजपूत राजाओं को अपने व्यक्तिगत गौरव की रक्षा का अधिक ध्यान था, देश का कम।

राज्य एवं प्रभाव वृद्धि की भावना से ये लोग परस्पर युद्ध करते थे। कभी-कभी उनका उद्देश्य केवल शौर्य प्रदर्शन मात्रा होता था या किसी सुंदरी का अपहरण। राजपूतों में शक्ति, पराक्रम एवं साहस की कमी न थी, परंतु यह समस्त कोश पारस्परिक प्रतिद्वंदियों में समाप्त किया जा रहा था। अतः राजपूत शत्रुओं का सामना करने में एक सूत्रबद्ध सामूहिक शक्ति का परिचय न दे सके। मुहम्मद गौरी के भयानक आक्रमणों ने राजपूत राजाओं को जर्जर कर दिया।

आदिकाल की परिस्थितियाँ

वीरगाथाकाल युद्ध का युग था। उस समय के साहित्यकार चारण या भाट थे, जो अपने आश्रयदाता राजा के पराक्रम, विजय और शत्रु-कन्याहरण आदि का अतिशयोक्तिपूर्ण वर्णन करते अथवा युद्ध-भूमि में वीरों के हृदय में उत्साह की उमंगे भरकर सम्मान प्राप्त करते। साहित्य समाज का प्रतिबिम्ब, प्रतिरूप और प्रतिच्छाया होता है, इस नियम के अनुसार तत्कालीन साहित्य में वीरता की भावना आना अवश्यम्भावी था। इस काल में दो प्रकार के- अपभ्रंश तथा देश भाषा काव्यों का निर्माण हुआ।

जैनाचार्य हेमचंद, सौमप्रभसूरि, जैनाचार्य मेरुतुँग, विद्याधर तथा शार्गंधर, आदि कवु अपभ्रंश काव्य के प्रमुख निर्माता थे। देश भाषा में वीरगाथा काव्य दो रूपों में मिलता है- प्रबंध काव्य के साहित्यिक रूप में तथा वीर गीतों के रूप में। ये ग्रंथ रासो कहे जाते थे। कुछ विद्वान रासों के सम्बंध “रहस्य” से मानते हैं और कुछ रास (आनंद) से मानते हैं।

देश भाषा काव्य में प्रमुख आठ पुस्तकें आती हैं- ख़ुमान रासो, बीसलदेव रासो, पृथ्वीराज रासो, जयचंद्रप्रकाश, जयमयंकरसचंद्रिका, परमाल रासो, खुसरो की पहेलियाँ तथा विद्यापति पदावली। इस काल में चंद्रबरदायी भट्ट प्रतिनिधि एवं प्रमुख कवि थे, जिन्होंने ‘ पृथ्वीराज रासो ’ नामक हिंदी के प्रथम महाकाव्य का निर्माण किया। इस ग्रंथ में ढाई हजार पृष्ठ तथा 69 समय (सर्ग) हैं।

इसमें कवित्त, दूहा, तीमर, त्रोटक, गाहा और आर्या, सभी छंदों का व्यवहार किया गया है। यह प्रबंध-काव्य उस काल का प्रतिनिधि ग्रंथ माना जाता है, इसमें वीर-भावों की बड़ी सुंदर अभिव्यक्ति है, कल्पना की उड़ान तथा उक्तियों की चमत्कारिता का सामंजस्य है।

वीरगाथाकाल की प्रमुख विशेषताएँ 

• इस युग के साहित्यकार साहित्य-सृजन के साथ-साथ तलवार चलाने में भी दक्ष थे।
• साहित्य का एकांगी विकास हुआ।
• वीर काव्यों की प्रबंध तथा मुक्तक दोनों रूपों में रचनाएँ हुईं।
• काव्यों में वीर रस के साथ श्रृंगार का पुट भी पर्याप्त मात्रा में मिलता है।
• कल्पना की प्रचुरता एवं अतिशयोक्ति का आधिक्य।
• काव्य का विषय युद्ध और प्रेम।
• युद्ध का सजीव वर्णन।
• इतिवृत्तात्मकता की अपेक्षा काव्य की मात्रा का आधिक्य।
• आश्रयदाताओं की भरपेट प्रशंसा।
• केवल वीर काव्य था, राष्ट्रीय काव्य नहीं।
• साहित्यकारों में वैयक्तिक भावना की प्रधानता तथा राष्ट्रीय भावना का अभाव।

Felicitation of winners, guidelines for uploading of selected entries, project timelines, evaluation of entries:.

There will be winners at every level. The number of winners to be declared is as follows:

• National Level - 100 winners (Super 100). No Veer Gatha Winner (at National Level) of earlier versions will be included in 100 winners (at National Level) of Veer Gatha Project 3.0.

Category : Class 3rd to 5th = 25 winners Category : Class 6th to 8th = 25 winners Category : Class 9th to 10th = 25 winners Category : Class 11th to 12th = 25 winners • State / UT Level - 08 Winners (two from each category) at State / UT level irrespective of Board (Will not include students selected in Super 100) • District Level - 04 winners (one from each category). These will not include students selected in Super 100 and the students selected at State/UT level.

Students whose entry is uploaded at the Portal (CBSE/MyGov) will get an E-Certificate of Participation.

Felicitation of Winners: The winner at national level will be felicitated jointly by Ministry of Education, Government of India & Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. Each winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- by the Ministry of Defence. All the winners at District & State / UT will be felicitated by respective District & State / UT. The modalities of the prize to be given in State/UT/District level may be decided by State/ District Authorities and budgeted accordingly. A certificate will be given to all the winners as follows:

• To Students Selected in Super 100 — Jointly by Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, Government Of India.
• To Students Selected at State / UT Level — by Principal Secretary/Secretary Education of the concerned State / UT.
• To Students Selected at District Level - jointly by Collector/ District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner and District Education Officer / appropriate higher official as decided by the Education Department of concerned State / UT I District.
• This is applicable for Nodal Officers of Non-CBSE Schools only. Please keep the UDISE code of the school along with all the other details of the school ready before applying.
• Multiple entries in the same category from a school are not allowed.
• Click on ‘Submit Now’ link, this will open a new page for entering Personal Details of the School.
• After filling Personal Details of the School, click on submit / Next button. This will open the page for making the class-wise submissions of Poem / Paragraph / Essay / painting / Multi-Media Presentation (whichever applicable).
• Entries can be uploaded in JPEG / PDF Formats only. Nodal officers of schools are advised to convert all selected entry files in JPG / JPEG format prior to uploading on MyGov portal
• In case, no submission is to be made in any of the entries, it is supposed to be left blank.
• At last, click on the "Submit" Button to finally submit the application.
• Please ensure the student details are accurate prior to making the final submission. Once the final Submission is made, it cannot be edited.

नई दिल्ली. स्कूली छात्रों को सशस्त्र बलों के जवानों, अधिकारियों और आम नागरिकों की बहादुरी से परिचित कराने के लिए केंद्र सरकार (Union Government) ने ‘वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट’ की शुरुआत की है. इसके तहत छात्रों को वीरता पुरस्कार (Gallantry Award) हासिल करने वालों की कहानी को कविताओं, चित्रों, निबंधों के रूप में दिखाने के लिए प्रेरित किया जाएगा. खास बात यह है कि रक्षा मंत्रालय (Ministry of Defence) के सुझाव पर शुरू हुई पहल में विजेता को पुरस्कार भी दिया जाएगा. सबसे अच्छी कृति को 26 जनवरी को गणतंत्र दिवस के मौके पर सम्मानित किया जाएगा.

इस प्रोजेक्ट के तहत छात्रों की तरफ से दाखिल की गई कृतियों की जांच पहले स्टेट काउंसिल ऑफ एजुकेशन रिसर्च एंड ट्रेनिंग (SCERTs) करेगी. इसके बाद शिक्षा मंत्रालय की तरफ से नियुक्त की गई समितियों के पास भेजा जाएगा, जो राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर शीर्ष 25 प्रोजेक्ट का चुनाव करेंगी. इन प्रोजेक्ट्स को गणतंत्र दिवस पर सम्मानित किया जाएगा. कक्षा 3 से 12वीं तक के छात्र इसमें 20 नवंबर तक एंट्री ले सकते हैं.

केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड की तरफ से जारी सर्कुलर के अनुसार, ‘छात्रों के बीच इन वीरों की बहादुरी की जानकारी और जीवन की कहानियों के प्रसार के लिए रक्षा मंत्रालय की तरफ से यह प्रस्ताव दिया गया है कि स्कूली छात्रों को वीरता पुरस्कार विजेताओं पर आधारित प्रोजेक्ट्स और एक्टिविटीज के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा सकता है. इसलिए शिक्षा मंत्रालय, स्कूली शिक्षा और साक्षरता विभाग 21 अक्टूबर से 20 नवंबर 2021 तक वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट का आयोजन कर रहा है.’

बोर्ड ने बताया है कि इस प्रोजेक्ट में सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के CBSE समेत हर स्कूल के छात्र हिस्सा ले सकेंगे. इसमें कहा गया है कि वीर गाथा प्रोजेक्ट के तहत छात्र वीरता पुरस्कार विजेताओं पर अलग-अलग प्रोजेक्ट्स तैयार कर सकते हैं और सबसे अच्छे प्रोजेक्ट को रक्षा मंत्रालय और शिक्षा मंत्रालय की तरफ से आगामी गणतंत्र दिवस पर सम्मानित किया जाएगा.

About Veer Gatha Project

To honour the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully-constituted Forces and Civilians, gallantry awards are announced twice in a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day.

In order to disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave-hearts among the students, it has been proposed by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) that school students may be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners. Accordingly, the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, is organising the Veer Gatha Project 2.0. The Project is open for all schools in all states and Union Territories including all schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

To bring about awareness among school students about the Gallantry Award Winners of our country, the Ministry of Defence through its field organisations of Army/Navy/Airforce, will organize virtual/face-to-face awareness programmes/sessions of one hour duration for schools across the country. During these interactive sessions, queries of students will be answered and short videos/PPTs/Documentaries/Brochures and various other resource material will be shared with students.

• 25 selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by the Ministry of Defence.
• Each of the 25 winners will be invited for the Republic Day Celebration at Delhi.
• All students whose entry is uploaded on the CBSE Veer Gatha portal will get an E- certificate of Participation.
• Economy Class Air Fare / 2 nd A.C. Rail Fare for each winner and one escort will be given by the Ministry of Defence

इस संघर्ष की शुरुआत आनंदपुर साहिब किले से हुई थी। जहां गुरु गोविंद सिंह महीनों से मुगल सेना से लड़ रहे थे। मुगलों ने उन्हें हराने के लिए कूटनीति अपनाकर झूठे पत्र भेजकर और वादों करके, गुरु गोविंद सिंह को पकड़ लिया। उनके पूरे परिवार को कैद करने के बाद प्रतिदिन धर्म परिवर्तन करने के लिए पीड़ित किया गया। गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्र अपने पिता की तरह वीर और साहसी थे उन्होंने मुगलों को मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया जिससे गुस्सा होकर मुगल बादशाह ने उन्हें तुरंत मौत के घाट उतारने का आदेश दिया। गुरु गोविंद सिंह की आंखों के सामने उनके दोनों छोटे पुत्र साहिबजादा जोरावर सिंह और साहिबजादा फतेह सिंह को जिंदा दीवाल में चुनवा दिया गया।

मात्र 7 वर्ष और 9 वर्ष की उम्र में गुरु गोविंद सिंह के दोनों पुत्र मुगलों के सामने सीना तान कर खड़े रहे। उन्होंने अपने धर्म और पिता की शान के लिए कई कष्ट सहे लेकिन अपने धर्म को छोड़ने की बात को कभी स्वीकार नहीं किया। वीर बाल दिवस का दिन हमें उन साहिबजांदो के बलिदान के बारे में बताता है जिन्होंने अपने धर्म की रक्षा के लिए अपने प्राण त्याग दिए। इसलिए उन वीर बालकों के बारे में जानना सभी के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।

कुछ समय पूर्व ही प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने वीर बाल दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की है। यह दिन गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्रों की शहादत के लिए मनाया जाएगा। 26 दिसंबर के दिन गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्रों को मुगलों द्वारा मार दिया गया था। उनके इस बलिदान को याद करने के लिए और उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए 26 दिसंबर को बीरबल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाएगा। गुरु गोविंद सिंह और उनके पुत्रों को उनके महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के लिए सिख धर्म में काफी माना जाता है। इसलिए उनकी शहादत के बारे में लोगों को बताने के लिए वीर बाल दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की गई।

26 दिसंबर का इतिहास

इस दिन मुगल राजा द्वारा गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्र साहिबजादा जोरावर सिंह और साहिबजादा फतेह सिंह को जिंदा दीवारों में चुनवा दिया गया था। इस लड़ाई की शुरुआत (1704) आनंदपुर किले से हुई थी जहां गुरु गोविंद सिंह मुगलो से युद्ध कर रहे थे। मुगल राजा भी उनकी इस वीरता से काफी प्रभावित थे। मुगलों ने कूटनीति अपनाते हुए गुरु गोविंद सिंह को यह पत्र लिखा कि अगर वह आनंदपुर का किला छोड़ दे तो हम तुम्हें जाने देंगे लेकिन गुरु गोविंद सिंह जी मुगलों के बारे में अच्छे से जानते थे जैसे ही गुरु गोविंद सिंह किले से बाहर निकले मुगल सेना ने उन पर हमला कर दिया।

मुगल सैनिकों ने गुरु गोविंद सिंह और उनके परिवार को कैद कर लिया। कैद करने के बाद गुरु गोविंद सिंह की पत्नी और उनके पुत्रों को सरहिंद ले गए जहां उन्हें ठंडे स्थान पर रख कर पीड़ित किया गया। अगले दिन नवाब वजीर खान ने साहिबजंदो से धर्म परिवर्तन करने को कहां साहिबजंदो  ने मना करते हुए कहा कि वह अपने धर्म से प्यार करते हैं इस बात से गुस्सा होकर नवाब ने 26 दिसंबर 1705 को गुरु गोविंद सिंह के दोनों पुत्रों को दीवार में चुनवाने का आदेश दिया, जब दोनों साहिबजंदो को दीवार में चुनवा या जा रहा था तब उनके सीने तक दीवाल आने पर दोबारा मुगल नवाब ने उनसे धर्म परिवर्तन करने को कहा लेकिन उन्होंने साफ-साफ इंकार कर दिया और मौत के गले लग गए।

साहिबजंदो की वीरता

मात्र 7 वर्ष और 9 वर्ष की उम्र में गुरु गोविंद सिंह के दोनों पुत्र वीरता और साहस से परिपूर्ण थे। उन्होंने मुगलों के खिलाफ युद्ध में अपने पिता का पूरा साथ दिया। मुगल नवाब ने गुरु गोविंद सिंह को कमजोर करने के लिए उनके पुत्रों का सहारा लिया लेकिन गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्र भी उनके पिता की तरह वीर और साहसी थे जिन्होंने मुगल नवाब के सभी कष्ट सहकर भी इस्लाम कबूल नहीं किया। मुगल बादशाह भी बच्चों की इस वीरता से प्रभावित था लेकिन उसे गुरु गोविंद सहित लाखों लोगों को इस्लाम कबूल करवाना था इसलिए उसने दोनों साहिबजंदो को मरने का आदेश दिया। दोनों पुत्रों ने खुशी-खुशी मौत को गले लगा लिया लेकिन अपने धर्म और पिता के सिर को नीचे नहीं झुकने दिया।

सिख धर्म में गुरु गोविंद सिंह और उनके पुत्रों का एक महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। उन्होंने सिख धर्म को बचाए रखने के लिए अपने पूरे परिवार का बलिदान कर दिया। गुरु गोविंद सिंह के पुत्रों ने भी छोटी उम्र में अपने धर्म के लिए खुशी-खुशी मौत स्वीकार कर ली। ऐसे महान वीरो के बारे में लोगों को बताने के लिए और उनके बलिदान से लोगों को परिचित कराने के लिए 26 दिसंबर जो कि उनकी मृत्यु का दिन है उसे वीर बाल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाएगा। ताकि लोग उनके इस बलिदान से प्रभावित हो सके और जान सके कि किस तरह छोटे साहिबजंदो ने अपने धर्म के प्रति निष्ठा दिखाई ।
