So, I finished my plane and I am just waiting for my battery to arrive, and I was wondering which cord goes into which slot on the receiver, could anyone help?

by the way, it's an 3 channel configuration with rudder and elevator.

Generally they will be labeled. Though Spektrum gear has the advantage of you can actually change channel assignments on the reciever from the transmitter, so in the event that you need to change which ports to put the plugs for the servos into, or you accidentally put the plugs into the wrong channels and the receiver is somewhere where you can't easily get to it, you have that option. Not to burst your bubble but I haven't heard great things so far about the antennaless Spektrum stuff. Every guy at my club that has gotten one has had some kind of signal problem with them.

umm. ok, thanks but I still don't know what to plug my wires into.

Since you only have two servos and an ESC, the wires that come off of them that have 3 cables will go into the receiver. The receiver itself has no battery plugged into it - here the power is supplied by the ESC's integrated BEC.

oh, but which numbers do you plug each of them into?

sprzout said: Looking at it straight on and going left to right: First slot on the left is Battery port. On older receivers, before they added the bind button, it was the "bind" port, and would be used for people flying with a battery pack instead of using a BEC or battery elimination circuit. From there, going to the right, It's TAERGA - T hrottle on port 1, A ileron on port 2, E levator on port 3, R udder on port 4, G ear on port 5, A UX1 on port 6. All can be reprogrammed via the computerized programming on almost all of the Spectrum radios, though, so it's possible to have the Rudder on port 2, ailerons on port 5, etc...It's kind of a pain to reprogram, though, so I generally leave it. yes, I know. thank you anyway.

The Spektrum AR620 air receiver is a full-range, 6-channel sport receiver with DSMX/DSM2 compatibility and a compact footprint that’s streamlined to fit in a wide range of models.

More than just a simple box that connects your servos, the AR620 features an internal antenna design that delivers a whole new world of installation ease that includes a higher-level of durability and convenience while maintaining superior full-range performance for your electric or engine powered aircraft.

In addition, the AR620 has been integrated with fly-by range telemetry that includes flight log and receiver battery pack voltage data. Access to telemetry is automatic when used with telemetry-capable Spektrum transmitters.* There’s nothing to do in order to enjoy the peace-of-mind instantly knowing receiver battery voltage offers.

No more bind plugs! Instead, a large bind button is used to enter the bind mode. All combined Spektrum gives you more in a basic receiver, like the AR620, so that you can fly with the highest sense of confidence possible and have more fun.

*Not compatible with the TM1000 and TM1100 external telemetry modules

Video Overview

Antenna-less

Unlike old technology that requires an external antenna to achieve adequate reception, the new AR620 features an internal antenna design that offers superior full-range performance. In addition, installation is easier than ever, plus there’s no longer a risk of failure due to long-term wire exposure or abuse.

Antenna-less

Bind, Redefined

New technology eliminates the need for the old bind plug. With the AR620, a large top-located button makes binding more convenient than ever while two bind-sequence options make the process simpler by allowing you to bind while powering up or after receiver power is connected.

Bind, Redefined

Built into the AR620 is telemetry that automatically delivers vital data to your Spektrum telemetry-capable transmitter. With fly-by range, you can retrieve flight log data such as any fades, frame losses or holds and see receiver voltage status in real-time.

Telemetry

Smart Technology Ready

The AR620 now comes updated and ready to provide the advantages of state-of-the-art connectivity right out of the box by supporting the innovative, all-in-one telemetry of Spektrum™ Smart batteries and ESCs. Smart Technology ensures that all of your vehicle's electronics work together seamlessly for the greatest efficiency and performance. It keeps you aware of every component's status, boosts your confidence in its capabilities, and makes your entire system more responsive and simple to use
