It worked out really well regardless and the quality of the data was better than that of data collected through Facebook (i.e. the ratio of complete vs. incomplete answers was twice as large). Slight drawback will probably be the very selective sample you get from using research exchange platforms. But considering the selection bias associated with recruiting online, academics (or so-called WEIRD people) are more likely to respond to free online studies anyway. Regardless, a quick way to get data of decent quality. So overall, I can only give out a straight-forward recommendation.
