This really is a fantastic textbook if you're studying for the AP English Language and Composition. The first portion of the book is a textbook discussing rhetorical strategies. It helps develop better, more thoughtful readers and writers. The rest of the book (2/3+) is devoted to essays loosely grouped by subject. Some are "classic" essays (from the 18th and 19th centuries) and others are more contemporary pieces (from the 20th and 21st centuries). Each includes questions meant to prompt discussion and reflection, particularly with regards to stylistic and rhetorical choices. There are also groups of essays, charts of data, and visuals that can be used to work on synthesis essays... The text is well-organized, engaging, and appropriately succinct. The essays included are well-written and represent a pleasing diversity of voices.

This provides very detailed coverage of the material that you will need to know for the AP Physics 1 exam. It actually exceeded our expectations as beyond covering each fundamental concept you are required to know, each chapter is beautifully summarized and include sample exercise questions (similar to those on the actual exam). We recommend reading this textbook to place a high score on your Advanced Placement Exam in May.
Another option for you if you wanted the best bang for your buck is the 5 Steps to a 5 AP Physics 1: Algebra-Based, 2018 Edition . This book weeds out the important information that you need to know for the exam. What we love most about this review book is that the information is concise, but it doesn't skimp on words when explaining concepts; everything you may have trouble wrapping your mind around suddenly may "click" when you read this book. : Rushing through this book the week before the test doesn't guarantee you a 5 on the exam; what you put into it is what you get out of it.

McGraw Hill’s 5 Steps to a 5: AP Psychology, 2017 Edition is great for the value it brings since it can definitely help you study for the AP exam. It's a short read (352 pages) but definitely a good AP Psychology review book. We would recommend this book to those out there who don't want to read a 1000 page book as part of your studying. Many have stated they received a score of 4, and some even 5, by using this book to study.
The textbook should be sufficient for your studying requirements, but if you want more practice then we recommend buying Barron's AP Psychology, 7th Edition. It provided great material and almost everything you need to know for the exam. There is only around 5% of the questions on the AP exam that aren't in this book. The book has real-life situations/exams for psychology terms, which we really enjoyed as they aid in learning. Also, there are some chapters that require great memorization. We recommend taking notes or your own labels so that you can go back to them and review, without having to reread the whole chapter. Many other chapters provide summary charts at the end, which we recommend also jotting notes next to so that when you're reviewing the charts they'd be easier for you to understand. Like all prep books, this one only contains information that you It took our spot for the best AP Psychology prep book.

Hillary Clinton’s next book is a collection of essays, touching upon everything from marriage to politics to faith, that her publisher is calling her most personal yet.
Simon and Schuster announced Tuesday that Clinton’s “Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love and Liberty” will be released Sept. 17.
Among the topics she will cover: Her marriage to former President Bill Clinton, her Methodist faith, adjusting to private life after her failed presidential runs, her friendships with other first ladies and her takes on climate change, democracy and Vladimir Putin.
“The book reads like you’re sitting down with your smartest, funniest, most passionate friend over a long meal,” Clinton’s editor, Priscilla Painton, said in a statement.
“This is the Hillary Americans have come to know and love: candid, engaged, humorous, self-deprecating — and always learning.”
Clinton, the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary and presidential candidate, will promote her book with a cross country tour. “Something Lost, Something Gained” comes out two months before Bill Clinton’s memoir about post-presidential life, “Citizen.”
Financial terms were not disclosed. Clinton was represented by Washington attorney Robert Barnett, whose other clients have included former President George W. Bush and former President Barack Obama.
Clinton’s previous books include such bestsellers as “It Takes a Village,” “Living History” and “What Happened.”
