Final Verdict
Affordable and functional, you really can’t go wrong with the Beboncool Wireless Presenter (view at Walmart ) and its built-in laser pointer. But if you’re someone who presents on a regular basis, it may be worth investing in the Canon PR10-G (vie at Amazon ) for its features. Its long-range and LCD screen that displays a timer will allow you to move freely and help you keep track of time.
What to Look for in Presentation Clickers
You don’t want to be in the middle of a presentation and have your clicker die out. A long battery life, the ability to recharge, and being able to check battery levels will help you avoid losing power or carrying extra batteries in your pocket.
If you plan to walk across a stage or work in a large room, you’ll want a presentation clicker that can move around with you and still perform well from longer distances (preferably, at least 100 feet). Of course, if you know that you’re just presenting in a conference room or classroom, a shorter range will be sufficient.
Compatibility
Many presentation clickers work on both Windows and Apple devices, but some may not. You’ll also want to investigate if the clicker is plug and play or if you need to download software to get it up and running. Simpler setups are always going to make life easier, especially if you will be using a variety of laptops and devices.
Do you want a built-in laser pointer? What about a built-in reminder to keep tabs on your timing? Would you prefer a few buttons or extra functions? These are some of the bells and whistles you may want to consider if you’re shopping for higher-end presentation clickers.

What is a Presentation Clicker? [And How to Use it?]
By: Author Shrot Katewa
If you are preparing to give a presentation, a presentation clicker can be a very helpful tool! In fact, if you have never given a presentation on a stage before, and you probably just found out that you will need to use a presentation clicker during the presentation, it can make you a bit anxious. This may perhaps make you wonder, what exactly is a presentation clicker?
A presentation clicker (or a presentation remote) is a wireless device that acts as a remote to control the movement of your slides during a presentation. A presentation clicker helps to advance the slides, or move back. Some presentation clickers also have a built-in laser that acts as a pointer.
In this article, I will help you understand a bit more about a presentation clicker, and provide you with tips on how to use it when giving a presentation. Plus, if you are looking to buy a presentation clicker, I shall be sharing some of the best options for you to choose based on my experience.
So, let’s get started!
How Does a Presentation Clicker Work?
A presentation clicker works by connecting to a computer wirelessly using a Bluetooth connection (often using a Bluetooth receiver). Once connected, it allows the presenter to move the slides forward or backward in the presentation mode using the buttons present on the clicker.
Thus, if you are using a presentation clicker when giving the presentation, you can easily move around on the stage and you don’t have to worry about running back to your computer (or asking someone else) to change the slide!
It is important to note that most presentation clickers come with a Bluetooth receiver that is injected into a USB slot on the computer (much like how a wireless mouse is connected to a laptop or a desktop). Furthermore, a receiver is unique to a specific device. Meaning, if you lose the Bluetooth receiver, the presentation clicker will not work!
Additionally, some clickers are designed to work specifically with a special application such as Microsoft PowerPoint. These clickers won’t work with other presentation applications like Keynote and Google Slides. Whereas, some clickers work with most major presentation applications and even with PDF files!
If you are planning to buy a presentation clicker, make sure that you choose one that works at least with Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote!
I’m also going to share with you how to use a presentation clicker, so make sure that you keep reading!
Top 5 Best Presentation Clickers
Sometimes, organizers simply don’t provide the presenter with a presentation clicker. Even when they do, the type of clicker will vary from one event to the other! Learning how to use a different clicker at the last moment can be a bit annoying especially when you are focusing on getting the presentation delivered perfectly!
That is one of the main reasons I carry my own presentation clicker. In fact, I highly recommend you do that too as it really doesn’t cost too much to buy a clicker.
So, let me share with you a few options that you should consider if you are interested in buying a clicker for delivering presentations.
Note – You can also check out the best selling presentation remotes on Amazon. These are usually the most reliable choices in addition to the ones that I’ve tried and reviewed below!
If you are in a rush and want to know which one is the best, my recommendation would be to go with Logitech Spotlight Remote . It is the easiest one to use with a design that requires minimal explanation, and works in a plug-and-play model! It even works without the receiver, that way you don’t have to worry about losing the receiver!
1. Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote [Most Complete]
Spotlight by Logitech is THE BEST presentation remote out there! It provides you with some of the most unique features. Some of these features include –
- Mouse-like cursor control
- Allows you to not only highlight but magnify elements on the screen (which is pretty cool!)
- Range of up to 100 feet
- Seamless connectivity – it really is seamless as it works even without a receiver via Bluetooth. That way, if you lose the receive it still works! (If you are like me, you’re bound to lose a receiver at some time!)
- Highly compatible – Works with not just Google Slides, but also with PowerPoint, and Keynote. It even works with PDF files and Prezi!
In my experience, the most helpful feature is its design! Other than the Power button, it only has 2 buttons which are used for next and previous slides. That way, you don’t get confused when presenting and end up showing slides that you aren’t meant to!
The best part is that it is not obnoxiously expensive! For all the features that it encompasses, Spotlight is quite affordable.
Check out the latest price by clicking on the button below.
2. Beboncool RF Wireless Presenter [Most Budget Friendly]
The Beboncool is pretty budget-friendly and also has an integrated laser pointer. It is made out of unique ABS material which is environmentally friendly.
To use it, you do not have to install any software. Just plug in and it is ready for some action – which is quite helpful.
It has all the standard features available on the remote. It works with both Windows and Mac. Furthermore, it can also be used with PowerPoint and Keynote along with Google Slides.
The only drawback (if we can call it that) is that it doesn’t come with a battery. So, you really can’t just unbox and use it directly! But, for most people, that shouldn’t be a problem I suppose.
3. DinoFire Presentation Clicker [Most Ergonomic]
DinoFire pointer comes with quite a sleek and ergonomic design. It is comfortable to hold in your hands.
It has 3 clicky buttons and one integrated laser pointer. Some of the other features that it offers are as follows –
- Range of 100 feet
- Wide Compatibility – Works with all Windows operating systems, Mac and Linux. Furthermore, it also works with PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides
- Magnetic USB receiver – this ensures that the receiver doesn’t accidentally fall off.
- 3-year guarantee on USB receiver – this is really cool! If you end up losing the receiver, the manufacturer will replace the receiver for you completely free for the first 3 years! This is one thing that I definitely loved about this clicker!
- Low power indicator – another helpful feature is the low power indicator. This feature ensures that your presentation clicker doesn’t ditch you in the middle of your presentation!
If you are looking for a presenter remote on a budget, I would recommend DinoFire presentation clicker with my eyes closed! Apart from being the most ergonomic, I also feel that this is the best all-round remote on a budget!
4. DinoFire Presenter Remote with Air Mouse [Best Features on a Budget]
The DinoFire presenter remote with remote air is compatible with any USB A or USB type C device.
It is also a future-proof purchase for you as it works with Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. Not only that, this two-in-one receiver will provide you 164 feet of wireless coverage. Besides being a presentation clicker, it can also be used as a mouse!
It actually comes packed with a loads of features! Let’s take a look at some of the most helpful features –
- Rechargeable battery – you will never run out of power on this device as you can just plug it into an electric socket and use it. It takes about 1.5 hours to charge fully and runs for about 8-10 hours on operation.
- Also functions as a real mouse – with a click of a button, you can switch from a presenter to an air mouse!
- Green Light as a pointer – this presentation clicker comes with a green light. The advantage of green light is that it works even with TV screens. It is also far more powerful than a red laser light; thus easily visible.
- High range – Clicker range up to 50 feet, mouse range is about 80 feet, and light range is about 300 feet.
- Battery indicator – it also comes with a battery indicator that starts flashing red when the battery is low.
- Compatibility – this DinoFire presentation remote is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux. It also works with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote, and a few other applications.
5. Logitech Wireless Presenter R400 [Best Branded Remote on a Budget]
The Logitech R400 is perfect for professional usage and compatible with all windows versions. It has a strong red laser to highlight your presentation content. The most attractive part is that it has touch-sensitive buttons and 50 feet wireless coverage.
While it does come with most of the standard features, there are a couple of drawbacks to keep in mind though –
- It requires 2 AAA batteries to use
- It is only compatible with Windows
That said, you do get a trusted product with a fail-proof brand name like Logitech at quite a low price point!
How to Use a Presentation Clicker?
As mentioned previously, the presentation clicker will usually have at least the previous and the next button on it.
To use a presentation clicker, first, connect it to the computer. Then, enter the presentation into presenter mode. Finally, press the ‘Previous’ and the ‘Next’ buttons on the clicker to move the slides ahead or back in the presentation. To use the laser pointer, press and hold the laser button.
Using a presentation clicker is actually not difficult at all. So, don’t worry if you have not used it before. That said, presentation clickers usually have their buttons placed differently and it varies based on the model and the brand.
Some clickers come with additional functionality such as converting the clicker into a mouse. It can be annoying when you have to adjust to a presentation clicker every time. However, it is better to spend 5 minutes orienting yourself with the clicker before starting with the presentation rather than committing a mistake during the presentation.
What Else is a Presentation Clicker Called?
There are several names used for a presentation clicker! You may hear other people refer to it as a Presentation Remote, Wireless Clicker, Slide Clicker, PowerPoint Remote, Presentation Pointer among others!
You can rest assured, all these actually mean the same thing!

These days, Microsoft is all about enhancing your workflow with handy productivity-focused software and accessories, and its new Presenter+ remote embodies that philosophy very much so. I love gadgets are that designed for specific use cases, and while it’s certainly not the first of its kind, the Presenter+ is elegant, sleek, and easy to set up and use.
I've been using the Presenter+ for a little over two weeks to conduct presentations and enhance Teams meetings. Here's my review!
Microsoft Presenter+: Price & Availability
The Microsoft Presenter+ is available directly from the Microsoft Store or Amazon and has a retail price of $80. Here are the specs of the product:
Microsoft Presenter+: Design
The Presenter+ features a clean, elegant design that looks good on your desk and discreet in your hand. It's small, lightweight, and feels great to hold thanks to its premium smooth plastic enclosure. The buttons are tactile and easy to press and have a satisfying click to them.
The buttons themselves consist of a large circular mute button at the top, followed by two smaller left and right navigation buttons below it, a pill-shaped "presenting laser" button below those, and a large circular Teams button at the bottom. On the back are a power toggle and Bluetooth pair button.
The back of the remote is covered in a slightly grippy texture, which makes it slightly easier to hold and reduces its ability to slide around on your desk when not in the charging dock. There's also a small Microsoft logo on the back, just below an indented area to rest your finger in as you hold the device.
On the bottom is a USB-C port flanked by two silver prongs, used for charging with the included charging dock. The charging dock itself is a nice inclusion, connected to a USB-A cable that plugs into your computer to supply power. The USB-C port on the remote can also be used for charging.
Microsoft Presenter+: Features
The Presenter+ includes several different features and modes, all designed to enhance your experience when presenting PowerPoint presentations or partaking in Teams meetings. We'll start with the presentation features, which unsurprisingly are a highlight for this remote.
This remote includes a built-in virtual laser function, which can be used to point at and highlight areas of a screen being used to present content. The virtual laser can be used anywhere, in any app by simply holding the laser button and pointing at your screen.
It uses a built-in gyroscope to track the location of the remote, and relatively accurately display the laser where you'd expect it to be. It works very similarly to how LG's Magic Remote works on its TVs, with the ability to point the remote at the screen and use it as a mouse.
The laser button, when paired with the navigation buttons above it, makes for an all-in-one solution for presenting PowerPoint slides on a stage, or even virtually in Microsoft Teams. The only frustrating thing about the laser pointer is that you can't actually click on things with it. Within Windows, you can use it to highlight things, but if you want to click OK on a prompt, you can't.
The remote can also be used as a microphone toggle with the dedicated mute button along the top. This is great for scenarios where you might find yourself walking around a small office while in a meeting, with other colleagues interrupting you in person every so often.
Now, there's no microphone built-in to the remote, so you can't use it as an on-the-go toggle mic, but the mute button will act as a toggle for whatever mic is built-in to the device you have it connected to.
Lastly, the Presenter+ features a vibration motor for tactile signals, which buzz when a Teams meeting starts, you mute or unmute your mic, when the battery is low, and even when you raise and lower your hand. Yes, the remote also functions as a way of raising your hand virtually in Teams meetings. Pretty cool.
Microsoft Presenter+: Customization
Many of the functions and features of the Presenter+ remote can be configured, which means you can dial in how you want to use the remote to your personal taste. For example, you can choose to use the microphone button as a toggle, switching between muted and unmuted states with a click, or use it as a push-to-talk button, only unmuting the mic when the button is held down.
The laser feature can also be customized, including the ability to change the size and color of the laser pointer itself. You can also configure the sensitivity of the gyro, which is great if you find the remote isn't doing a good job of tracking the laser pointer on the screen out of the box.
You can even customize the strength of the tactility motor, increasing or decreasing its strength to suit your preference. You can also turn on and off which features present tactile signals, so if you didn't want it to vibrate when you mute or unmute your mic, you can turn that off.
All of these features can be customized using Microsoft's well-put-together Accessory Center app, which is automatically installed when you pair the remote to a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC for the first time. The app also includes the ability to "find my remote" by buzzing the vibration motor inside it if you ever lose it.
Microsoft Presenter+: Competition
There are countless clicker devices out there on the market that allow you to control a PowerPoint presentation, and some of them even have actual laser point pointers built in. Peripherals such as the Logitech Presenter R400 , which uses its own wireless receiver for functionality, can be had for just $32. But it doesn't come with any customization software or integration with Microsoft Teams.
There's also the DinoFire Wireless Presenter , which just like the Logitech, uses its own RF receiver for functionality, and a built-in level 2 laser. But again, no Microsoft Teams integration. And that's going to be the big differentiator between other clickers and the Microsoft Presenter+.
The Microsoft Presenter+ offers a virtual laser, in-depth Microsoft Teams integration, a wide array of customizable settings, and even a haptic motor. You're not going to find those things on other clickers on the market.
Microsoft Presenter+ Should you buy
The Microsoft Presenter+ is an excellent peripheral, but only if you find yourself presenting PowerPoint presentations on a regular basis. For everyone else, I don't think it's a necessary investment, as it's pretty easy to navigate a PowerPoint slide without a dedicated accessory.
With that said, the Presenter+ is really only for the people who want or need to look professional on a stage or virtually. They won't want to be seen walking back to a laptop on the corner of the stage to advance to the next slide. They want to stay in their flow and present the next slide as they talk to their audience.
If that's you, then you simply can't go wrong with the Presenter+. The other integrations with Teams are a nice addition, such as raising the remote to raise your hand in the meeting and using the mic button as a toggle.
The Microsoft Presenter+ is an excellent peripheral for public speakers or team members who find themselves on stage (in person or virtually) in front of a PowerPoint presentation on a regular basis.

Biden holds record-breaking New York City fundraiser with Barack Obama and Bill Clinton
By Aaron Navarro , Jordan Freiman
Updated on: March 29, 2024 / 6:54 AM EDT / CBS News
President Biden participated in a star-studded fundraiser with former Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton on Thursday in New York City in an event expected to raise more than $25 million for the president's re-election campaign.
Thursday's New York City fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall was hosted by actress Mindy Kaling and featured performances by several musical guests and artists, including Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele. The event was capped off with a nearly hourlong discussion between Mr. Biden, Obama and Clinton moderated by "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert.
Obama accompanied Mr. Biden on the Air Force One flight from Washington, D.C., to New York earlier in the day.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and first lady Jill Biden also delivered remarks during the event.
Schumer touted several of Mr. Biden's accomplishments and spoke of the potential for not just the president's re-election, but for Democrats to control all three branches of government with key wins in the 2024 election.
"Re-elect Joe Biden as president, put Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker, keep me as Majority Leader, and the next four years will be better than this. You ain't seen nothing yet," the Senate majority leader said.
The first lady, joined by several other members of the Biden family, recalled that after she agreed to marry Mr. Biden, "He said, 'Jill, I promise you, your life will never change.' Well that, of course, turned out to be wildly untrue."
She also spoke of the large sum raised for her husband's campaign.
"This is the biggest fundraiser the DNC has ever held – the fundraiser to end all fundraisers – and we've raised a record amount," Jill Biden said.
Mr. Biden, Obama and Clinton discussed a wide variety of topics, from the economy to the border to the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol, which Mr. Biden bluntly referred to as an insurrection.
"I was supposed to make a speech on the economy, and I decided I couldn't remain silent," Mr. Biden said. "So what I did was I made a speech about January the sixth, what was happening. And I said it was an insurrection underway, and it must be dealt with and I plead with the president to stop and do his job, call these people off. He sat there in the dining room off the Oval Office for several hours and watched, didn't do a damn thing. That's why I felt obliged even though I wasn't sworn in yet. I was president-elect."
The fundraiser was interrupted by demonstrators protesting against the war in Gaza multiple times, and one who appeared to be yelling something about nuclear with Russia, throughout the night. One interruption came while Obama was discussing Gaza, to which he replied "You can't just talk and not listen," leading the audience to give him a standing ovation.
"It is also possible for us to have our hearts broken watching innocent people being killed and try to manage through that in a way that ultimately leads to both people being able to live in peace side by side," Obama said. "That is not an easy thing."
"It is important for us to understand that it is possible to have moral clarity and have deeply held beliefs, but still recognize that the world is complicated and it is hard to solve these problems," the former president added.
There were also Pro-Palestinian protests outside the music hall, CBS News New York reported . The New York Police Department told CBS News one person was detained. There was no word on why.
The demonstrators were chanting and screaming their messages, directing their anger toward Mr. Biden and, at times, at police officers.
Mr. Biden reiterated his support for Israel and its right to self defense, but said there were "too many innocent victims" and that more aid needs to get into Gaza. Mr. Biden also expressed support for a two-state solution.
"It's understandable there's such a profound anger, and Hamas is still there, but we must in fact, stop the effort resulting in significant deaths of innocent civilians, particularly children," Mr. Biden said.
The campaign has billed the event as the "most successful political fundraiser in American history."
During a swing through Texas earlier this month, the Biden campaign raised a combined $7 million from three separate fundraisers. A fundraiser for Mr. Biden in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday raised $2.3 million.
Mr. Biden's largest single-day haul prior to Thursday came in the 24 hours after his State of the Union address earlier in March, when he raised $10 million, according to his campaign.
But Thursday's staggering sum is a new record for the campaign, and it further illustrates the growing cash gap between Mr. Biden and his presumptive general election opponent, former President Donald Trump.
Trump raised $20 million in the whole month of February and $8.8 million in January. He's also been dogged by legal bills and payments , with his campaign and the political action committees supporting him spending over $10 million in legal fees this year.
Mr. Biden's campaign committees have more than double the cash on hand of Trump's equivalent groups, $155 million for Mr. Biden and $74 million for Trump as of late March.
"Unlike our opponent, every dollar we're raising is going to reach the voters who will decide this election — communicating the President's historic record, his vision for the future and laying plain the stakes of this election," said Biden-Harris campaign co-chair and Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Trump's campaign sent out two fundraising emails Wednesday mentioning Mr. Biden's Thursday fundraiser, with one calling on "one million Trump supporters to donate to beat the "Obama-Clinton cartel" and the other reading, "We can't lose to Obama!"
