We received this question from a customer and thought others might be interested in this topic... Can you program a local dimmer in HomeWorks QS to not only control its local load but to also control other loads as well?
Yes you can: In the HomeWorks QS software, please go to the "Program" tab and in the device's dropdown menu, select the checkbox to "Show all dimmers". The dimmers can be programmed to trigger other actions such as scenes, timeclocks, motors, variables, sequences, etc.

How do I find my Model Number?
Dimmers & switches, do you have the original packaging.
If your product came in plastic packaging (a clamshell), you’ll find the model number on the front of the insert card, on the lower left corner. If your product came in a box, you’ll find the model number on the top of the box.
Most model numbers are 12-16 characters and start with a couple letters followed by a dash.
No packaging? No problem!
The product number is on a label on the side of the dimmer or switch.*
If you’ve already installed the dimmer/switch, turn off the electricity and then remove the wallplate. Unscrew and remove the wallplate adapter, then unscrew the dimmer/switch and pull it out of the wall until you can see the label.
*Please note: The product number for Ariadni/Toggler dimmers is not on a label. It’s located directly on the front of the dimmer on the top left, or right below the on/off toggle.

Lutron Homeworks QS System & Caseta
I've moved into a home that has some switches and shades as part of a Homeworks QS system. I've learned that in order to add more switches, I will need to have professionals come out and install/program them in. I cannot do them myself.
Given this, do I have any ability to install Lutron devices that end users can install such as the Caseta line using the Homeworks bridge/hardware that I already have? Or will I need to have 2 separate Lutron systems (Homeworks and Caseta) with neither of them able to speak to each other?

The biggest difference between the three systems is how each system expands and how far each system can expanded to cover a larger area. Caseta maxes out at ~150 feet from the Lutron Bridge while Radio RA and HomeWorks can expand much further via Ethernet. Caseta is technically not a whole home solution like HomeWorks and RadioRA.
